And without surprise big G is taking on the social network 2.0 phenomena. I guess we're now getting the big picture on Brad's new job.

This actually doesn't (yet) solve the portable identity issue.

Yes, the apps you/we develop will run on various social networks... but they will be unrelated to each other, per se. Of course each developer can make an effort to relate to other networks instances of his app... kind of creating a mesh of the same identity spread across different platforms.

So I guess Brad still has some work to do over there.

(don't get me wrong. this is ubber cool... and every social network (wink wink nudge nudge) should pick it up ASAP.)
