http://maps.yahoo.com/beta/ Yahoo stepped away from AJAX and decided to go all the way with a fantastic Flash UI for their heavy data remixed local maps. Microsoft has revealed Windows Live, their clone of Netvibes (PS: Safari couldn't show anything, Firefox displayed "Firefox Users Firefox support is coming soon. Please be patient "). This is a nice article about it. Tim O'Reilly was at the press event.
A interesting open-letter asking the major Portals with search techology to clone Google's API but WITHOUT their limitations showed up.
MacOSX got the 10.4.3 upgrade. Safari had major improvments and it's now able to pass the demanding Acid2 test.
EarlyStageVC has a good article called Web 2.0 Needs Business Model 2.0. Interesting read. Quote: "The Web 1.0 business model doesn't work in Web 2.0.". On the same line Alex Barnett has the 10 problems with Web 2.0, the 1st is of course "Excessive Hype". And last but not the least, you now have AJAX in your home router too.
You all know about the much awaited Nokia 770 is out and available in Europe, or part of it.
The pixel density war is on again, this time on phones. Samsung just launched a 8 megapixel camera phone. There's a leaked BlackBerry phone buzz too.
